Software Updates: View Deployment Status & Exclusions List

For the automations that include Update Ring, Deploy Updates, or Deploy Software action, you can examine the deployment results.

Navigate to the Automations list, select the one you need, and from its Actions select Deployment Status & Execution. This view shows aggregated statistics for each software update deployed within all runs of the selected automation.

For example, for the automation of the Deploy Updates type, this view will display:

• Name of the updated software, its Vendor and Version deployed
• Success Count – number of endpoints where this update was deployed successfully
• Failure Count – number of endpoints where this update failed to deploy
• Success Rate calculated as Success Count / (Success Count + Failure Count) × 100
• First Deployed Date – when the update was deployed with this automation
• Excluded switch (described below)

For the automations with the Deploy Software, Deploy Updates or Update Ring action, you can use the Excluded switch. When switched to Yes, it will instruct Action1 to exclude the selected software update from the current and all subsequent (“outer”) rings in the chain.
