Action1 5 Documentation 5 Overview

Overview

Action1 comes with a variety of built-in reports facilitating periodic reviews of your security posture and assisting with compliance audits. These reports provide detailed information on your endpoints’ health, including vulnerability remediation compliance, pending deployments, required reboots, and other metrics. In addition to reports that are available to you out of the box, Action1 allows you to create custom reports tailored to your organization’s unique needs.

Each Action1 built-in or custom report comprises:

  • Report configuration (also referred to as the report definition object or report definition), which includes properties such as report name, ID, description, category, data source, column names, filters, and others.
  • Report data, that is, data from the managed endpoints which is used to populate the report columns specified in the report definition object.

  • Built-in report definitions are maintained by Action1; they are based on built-in data sources and organized into categories. Their IDs and category IDs are unique across the entire Action1 Cloud.

  • Custom report definitions are created by users; they have no categories. They can be based on built-in or custom data sources.

Report definitions are maintained at the Enterprise level. Browsing them does not require any permissions, so they are visible to any user in any Organization within your Action1 Enterprise.
