First 200 endpoints free, no feature limits.

No credit card required, full access to all features.

Organizations rely on multiple tools to manage patch management, endpoint management, vulnerability remediation, and IT operations. But identifying an issue is only the beginning:

  • A critical CVE needs to be prioritized and fixed.
  • A missing update needs to be deployed.
  • A pending reboot needs to be completed.
  • An offline endpoint may require attention.
  • A failed automation needs to be reviewed and corrected.

Action1 automates patch management and identifies issues across distributed endpoints. Many organizations, however, use Jira Cloud to assign and track the related tasks. Without a connection between the two platforms, IT teams must review issues in Action1 first, then recreate them as Jira tickets, copy the relevant details, and route each ticket by hand.

Today, we are announcing Action1 Connector for Jira. The integration brings selected patching and endpoint issues into existing Jira workflows as tickets, so IT teams can avoid manual creation and routing. Jira users can see what needs attention, assign responsibility, and monitor progress through the Jira processes they already use.

Built in Response to Customer Demand

Jira has consistently been one of the most requested integrations among Action1 customers and prospects. Organizations wanted vulnerabilities, missing updates, pending reboots, offline endpoints, and automation failures identified by Action1 to be automatically routed to the Jira projects they used.

Their goal was clear: reduce administrative work and give Jira users a shared view of what needs attention, who is responsible, and how the related tasks are progressing. Action1 Connector for Jira was built to meet that demand.

Connect Autonomous Patching with Existing Jira Workflows

Action1 is a cloud-based autonomous patch management platform that helps IT teams detect and remediate patchable vulnerabilities across distributed endpoints, including OS and third-party updates.

Jira is where many IT and security teams prioritize tasks, assign responsibility, and monitor progress. The new integration connects these processes without changing the role of either platform. Action1 continues to automate patching and vulnerability remediation, while Jira provides a familiar place to coordinate the related tasks.

Create and Route Patching-Related Jira Tickets Automatically

IT teams choose which issues should appear in Jira. Based on these rules, the connector creates and updates Jira tickets for:

  • CVEs and vulnerabilities that require attention
  • Missing patches and updates
  • Pending reboots
  • Offline endpoints
  • Automation failures

The connector then directs new tickets to the projects used by the responsible IT teams and departments, eliminating manual ticket creation, copying, and routing.

Give IT Teams the Context They Need

When configured to update open tickets, the connector maintains no more than one open Jira ticket per endpoint for each supported issue category. If an endpoint continues to meet the configured criteria, the connector updates the existing ticket instead of generating additional tickets for the same type of issue.

The connector also applies labels to the Jira tickets it creates. IT teams can use these labels to filter patching and endpoint-related tickets, build Jira queues and views, and report on patching and vulnerability remediation tasks. They also can run synchronization manually while testing their configuration and then schedule it to create and update qualifying tickets automatically.

Each Jira ticket includes relevant vulnerability or endpoint details and a direct link to the corresponding information in Action1. IT teams can understand why the ticket was created and open Action1 directly when they need more information or need to take action.

Action1 Connector for Jira Available Now

Action1 Connector for Jira is now available for Jira Cloud.

Organizations using Action1 and Jira can connect the two platforms, configure ticketing and project-mapping rules, and start bringing patching and endpoint issues into the Jira workflows their teams already use.
