“Team Action1 is thrilled to be recognized as the fastest-growing private software company in America,” said Mike Walters, President and Co-founder of Action1. “Modern organizations understand that proactive patch management is essential to staying ahead of today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape. Our continued hypergrowth reflects the increased demand for enterprise cybersecurity innovation. You can’t be just powerful and secure—you must also be simple to deploy and scale, and cost-effective. This achievement reflects the dedication of Action1’s global team, who continue to execute against an ambitious vision: a world where cyberattacks exploiting vulnerabilities are entirely prevented across all types of devices, operating systems, and applications.”
Action1’s growth pace exceeds typical benchmarks in both SaaS and cybersecurity sectors, underscoring the company’s strong momentum and market leadership. Its inclusion in the 2025 Inc. 5000 list validates the company’s strategy to disrupt traditional IT tools with a cloud-native, scalable Autonomous Endpoint Management platform.
Designed to scale infinitely in the largest IT environments worldwide, Action1 is on a mission to make enterprise-grade security accessible to all. As a part of this mission, the company expanded its fully functional free tier to cover 200 endpoints at no cost for organizations of all sizes, supporting SMBs as well as larger enterprises looking to start small with no commitment before scaling. This initiative reflects the company’s belief that powerful IT management tools shouldn’t be limited to organizations with the largest budgets or IT teams. Looking ahead, Action1 plans to further enhance its platform and expand its global reach, empowering even more organizations with autonomous patching and modern endpoint management.
“Making the Inc. 5000 is always a remarkable achievement, but earning a spot this year speaks volumes about a company’s tenacity and clarity of vision,” says Mike Hofman, editor-in-chief of Inc. “These businesses have thrived amid rising costs, shifting global dynamics, and constant change. They didn’t just weather the storm—they grew through it, and their stories are a powerful reminder that the entrepreneurial spirit is the engine of the U.S. economy.”

Methodology
Companies on the 2025 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2021 to 2024. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2021. They must be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2024. (Since then, some on the list may have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2021 is $100,000; the minimum for 2024 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.
