This query shows all web browsers being used on your network and allows you to create alerts when any new web browsers are installed or used. You can display all installed browsers or just those currently being used by certain users. Such as you can determine which computers still have Internet Exlorer installed, display its version and determine which users have it running in their logon sessions. This query is also able to determine if some web browsers are being run in portable mode, such as Firefox started from a USB drive.
By default, it searches for most types of web browsers and Applications parameter contains comma-separated pairs in the format of appname:exename and you can add more applications to search (such as add Morilla Forefox*:firefox.exe).
