Unlocks local Administrator account or any other local Windows account |
This action unlocks a local user account after that local account has been locked out due to a number of invalid attempts to logon to Windows workstation. It works similar to unlocking a local user account from command line, PowerShell script or using Local Users and Groups tool.
Account lockouts happen after someone enters a wrong password multiple times and account lockout policy is configured for local accounts on that system. Account lockouts can also be caused by services and scheduled tasks configured to run under local accounts and passwords for those accounts are changed without updating service or scheduled task configuration (which leaves is setup under stale credentials). Use this free tool to unlock local accounts (including local admin accounts) on multiple workstations at once.
